Nintendo's ongoing 40th anniversary celebrations for its mascot have added a new promotional item to the mix. GameStop has officially announced an exclusive 40th anniversary Mario Pin Set, which is now available for customers through a specific spending threshold.

How to Claim Your Pin Set

To secure the set, customers must spend $100 on Mario games at GameStop. According to the retailer's official announcement, those who complete their purchase online can bring their receipt into a local GameStop store to receive the pins.

What Is Included in the Set?

The collection features five pieces in total, including the official 40th anniversary Super Mario Bros. logo. The four character pins highlight various iterations of the plumber from throughout the series' history:

  • Giga Cat Mario (from Bowser's Fury)
  • Tanooki Mario (from Super Mario Bros. 3)
  • Propeller Mario (from New Super Mario Bros. Wii)
  • Mario & Luma (from Super Mario Galaxy)

While some of these designs have appeared in previous releases, this specific bundle is being positioned as part of the wider anniversary promotion. This follows a previous 40th anniversary pin set that was made available earlier this year through the North American Nintendo Store as a My Nintendo Reward.

A Year of Celebrations

The 40th anniversary festivities for the franchise officially kicked off last year. Since then, Nintendo has expanded its offerings with several major initiatives, including the announcement of Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 for Switch, a new game for Yoshi, and fresh content for Super Mario Bros. Wonder. The celebration also extended into film earlier this year with the release of the Super Mario Galaxy movie.
