Developer LemonVelvet has officially announced ZombiSeed, a narrative-focused title blending visual novel storytelling with turn-based card combat. The game is currently slated for an April 2027 release on iOS, Android, and PC, with a crowdfunding campaign scheduled to launch on September 10th.
Gameplay and Combat Details
In ZombiSeed, players assume the role of a teacher at a Hunter Academy, managing a group of students known as Class S during a supernatural apocalypse caused by the "Blossom virus." The game emphasizes character relationships, where player choices influence the bonds, trauma, and ultimate fates of the group.
The combat system focuses on card-based mechanics, requiring players to draw three cards per turn and link them into chains to increase attack strength. Team composition is a key factor, as each Hunter character contributes unique skills that impact how card combinations perform in battle.
Technical and Platform Considerations
While the full game will feature English and Korean text, voice acting will be provided in Korean for selected main-story scenes and all "Card Stories." These Card Stories are unlocked as players collect and awaken specific cards, which also grant access to new illustrations and outfits.
