In Splatoon Raiders, gadgets are essential tools for customizing your Speed, Power, or Tactical tanks. Whether you need explosives, long-range support, or mobility items, understanding how to manage your loadout is key to effective gameplay.
How Gadgets Work
Every tank type—Speed (blue), Power (orange), and Tactical (purple)—supports five specific gadgets. While you are initially restricted to gadgets corresponding to your tank type, you can unlock cross-tank compatibility. Once you have upgraded any tank twice, you gain the ability to equip one gadget from a different tank type as a third combat slot.
How to Unlock and Develop Gadgets
Gadgets are acquired through two methods:
- Automatic Unlocks: Several gadgets are granted as you progress through the game.
- Development: Visit Shiver at the station on the Hideout ship. You can create additional gadgets using materials gathered from defeated enemies and completed levels, alongside Spiralhite ore.

Upgrading Your Gadgets
You can further customize your gear at Shiver’s station by adding parts. Each gadget supports around ten different additions that can alter ink direction, add explosions, or boost duration. Upgrades come in various rarities and consume specific slot counts on your gadget. If you run out of room, use skill coins to increase your total gadget slot count.
