Anime-inspired turn-based RPG Outerplane has officially made its jump from mobile to PC, launching on Steam. Developed by MAJOR9, the strategy title brings its roster of over 100 characters and 3D skill animations to a fully-fledged desktop environment after three years on touchscreens.
Quick Facts
- Platforms: Steam (PC), iOS, Android
- New Player Bonus: Up to 1,000 free summons
- Publisher: MAJOR9 (took over operations in September 2025)
- Upcoming Event: Tokyo Game Show appearance from September 19th to September 21st
The Steam release serves as a key milestone for the title following MAJOR9's acquisition. Since taking over operations, the publisher has reshaped the game into a more accessible experience, rolling out a sweeping overhaul last month that introduced a streamlined tutorial and story experience designed to ease early progression for newcomers.
To celebrate the desktop launch, new players jumping into the game can claim up to 1,000 summons right away to build out their roster. The PC release kicks off a busy stretch for the developers, who confirmed an upcoming presence at the Tokyo Game Show from September 19th to September 21st. That event will also mark the Service Transfer 1st Anniversary celebrations, with new heroes and content updates promised.
Outerplane is available to download for free today on Steam, the App Store, and Google Play.
