Zynga has introduced a charity-focused event to FarmVille 3 in celebration of International Cat Day. Running from August 11th to September 7th, the “A Home For Every Kitten” event shifts the game's focus from standard crop production to rescue operations.

The event mechanics require players to utilize Co-op Rescue Tokens to progress through the four-week rescue cycle. Successfully completing these tasks awards players with seven-day in-game boosts. A premium pass is available for those looking to bypass standard wait times, which also includes additional barn space and extra boosts.
A notable aspect of this update is the collaboration with Dots.eco. A portion of revenue from in-game purchases made during the event period is directed toward the organization's “Support Rescued Pets” initiative. To provide transparency regarding these contributions, Dots.eco is distributing 5,000 digital certificates to participants. Three randomly selected certificate holders will also be featured on the official FarmVille 3 website.
The event begins shortly after the official International Cat Day (August 8th), providing players a window to prepare their farm storage before the rescue tasks become active.
