Ternox Games has confirmed that its upcoming stock market simulation title, Stonks-9800, will no longer launch on PlayStation platforms. The developer announced on social media that Sony has unilaterally terminated the studio's developer and publisher agreement without providing a reason or explanation.

Quick Facts

  • Game Status: Stonks-9800 PlayStation release cancelled.
  • Platforms: Development continues for Xbox and Nintendo Switch, including planned physical releases.
  • Impact: All 13 previously released Ternox Games titles are slated for removal from the PlayStation Store.

According to the developer, attempts to communicate with Sony regarding the decision have been unsuccessful, with multiple emails to the company remaining unanswered. As a result of the terminated agreement, the studio is now unable to list new titles on the PlayStation Store.

The impact extends beyond the cancelled release of Stonks-9800. Ternox Games has notified its player base that all 13 of its games currently available on the PlayStation storefront will be removed in the coming days. The developer has encouraged players to purchase these titles before they are taken down.

For those interested in Stonks-9800, Ternox Games is shifting its focus to self-publishing the title exclusively for Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Physical editions for these platforms remain in active development.
