Life-simulation sandbox Paralives has received its newest quality-of-life patch on PC via Steam, bringing a host of community-requested features, bug fixes, and system improvements to the early access indie game developed by Paralives Studio. The Newest Update Offers Dozens of tweaks aimed at smoothing out daily gameplay and town navigation.
Quick Facts
- Platform: PC (Steam)
- Developer/Publisher: Paralives Studio
- Patch Version: 0.137
- Release Window: Deployed August 2026 for the early access build
Baby Visuals and Parent Priorities
Among the most requested changes in patch 0.137, babies have received a visual overhaul designed to address uncanny valley concerns. Their faces will now more closely resemble their Para parents. Additionally, parents will now prioritize placing babies into cribs instead of leaving them on the ground when executing new actions.
Map Navigation and Quality-of-Life Additions
Town management receives a major upgrade with a newly updated map featuring street names and addresses. Paras also benefit from several new mechanics, including gaining effects from drinking coffee, storing leftover food, engaging in platonic intimacy with friends and family members, and assigning specific bed slots.
Players can now also move in with friends or move out with children, track NPCs directly on the map, utilize clothing search filters, and view new ground textures and clothing patterns alongside lifespan adjustments and realistic lighting updates.
Known Issues and Next Steps
While the newest update addresses several frequent community complaints—many of which previously required workshop mods to fix—Paralives Studio notes that modding compatibility issues will likely persist as development continues. Developers are also tracking known issues such as NPCs walking through walls after finishing conversations for a future patch ahead of the eventual 1.0 release.
