Gaijin Entertainment has officially announced an expansion to the customization options available in War Thunder. Scheduled for inclusion in the next major game update, this content drop introduces a variety of new national roundels and military emblems for players to apply to their vehicles. The update will be available simultaneously across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms, providing a broader selection of insignia for both air and ground forces.
New National Insignia and Air Force Roundels
The update focuses on diversifying the available historical and contemporary markings for several nations. Players will gain access to new Albanian Air Force roundels, featuring both the 1992-present and 1960-1992 variants. Additionally, the game will introduce contemporary roundels for the Irish and Indian Air Forces, alongside a new low-visibility variant for the Czech Air Force. Further additions include specific emblems for Luxembourg, Serbia, and Vietnam, covering various branches including Army Aviation and Air Force units.
Ground Vehicle Markings and JGSDF Units
Ground vehicle customization is also receiving significant attention with the addition of specific unit markings. The update includes new JGSDF markings for Japan, specifically covering the 2nd Anti-aircraft Company, 7th Anti-Aircraft Regiment, 2nd Tank Regiment, and the 15th Rapid Deployment Regiment. Thai ground forces will also see new emblems representing the 19th, 2nd, and 13th Cavalry Battalions. Furthermore, the development team has confirmed that new Greek ground vehicle decals are currently in progress and are expected to be ready for the upcoming update.
