Gaijin Entertainment has officially opened the 246th War Thunder Steam Screenshot Competition, inviting PC players to showcase their best in-game vehicle captures. This recurring event is currently active, providing a platform for the community to highlight their favorite moments and technical prowess within the game. Participants are encouraged to upload their entries directly to the Steam Community Hub to be considered for the final selection process.

Competition Requirements and Rules

To ensure fairness, the developers have implemented strict guidelines for all submissions. It is essential that players capture their images without the use of external editing software or visual enhancements. Any submission found to be modified will be disqualified. Furthermore, all entries must include the specific tag #WTscreen246 to be properly indexed and reviewed by the judging panel. The competition is scheduled to conclude on October 23, 2026, leaving a limited window for players to finalize and upload their work.

Prizes and Selection Process

The selection process will be split between community voting and internal judge selection, resulting in a total of six winners. Those who are selected will receive a reward of 300 Golden Eagles (GE). The distribution of these rewards is handled by the development team within 14 working days following the final selection. Below are the key details for participants to keep in mind:

  • Submission Deadline: October 23, 2026
  • Required Tag: #WTscreen246
  • Reward Amount: 300 Golden Eagles (GE)
  • Editing Policy: External software and visual enhancements are prohibited
  • Reward Delivery: Within 14 working days of selection

This competition serves as a regular opportunity for the War Thunder player base to engage with the community and earn in-game currency. By focusing on raw, unedited captures, the event emphasizes the visual fidelity of the game's vehicle models and environmental design. Players should ensure their screenshots are uploaded to the correct Steam Community Hub section before the deadline to avoid missing out on the potential reward. Whether you are a veteran pilot or a tank commander, the competition remains open to all PC users who can demonstrate their eye for composition and timing within the game's engine.
