Classic Versions and Hardware Origins

Spanning the Amiga 500, SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and Commodore 64, the collection preserves the original visuals, audio, and gameplay of 12 distinct versions across the four franchise entries. According to System 3 founder and CEO Mark Cale, the release aims to preserve different versions, soundtracks, artwork, and personality while making the games accessible on modern hardware.

The Pondverse and Modern Conveniences

The collection introduces the Pondverse, an interactive hub featuring character profiles, hero and villain biographies, franchise history, level information, original packaging, and newly crafted 3D artwork inspired by pixel art. In addition to the archival content, the Nintendo Switch 2 release incorporates quality-of-life additions including multiple save-as-you-play slots, controller rumble, adjustable scanlines, in-game audio controls, and custom bezels. The software supports English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish localization.

Ahead of the October launch, an original studio-recorded title track inspired by Dr Maybe, titled "Maybe," is planned for release on Spotify and Apple Music alongside the game's announcement trailer.
