Publisher Perp Games and developer Project Cloud Games have confirmed the upcoming console release schedule for The Relic: First Guardian. The action RPG will arrive on Xbox Series X|S on September 25, followed by a release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 9.
Quick Facts
- Xbox Series X|S Launch: September 25, 2026
- Nintendo Switch 2 Launch: October 9, 2026
- Early Supporter Reward: A unique "Sealing Stone" is available to PC and PS5 owners who purchased the game at full price prior to August 26, 2026.
Details on the Exclusive Sealing Stone
Players who own the game on PC or PlayStation 5 before the August 26 price reduction will receive an exclusive item known as the Sealing Stone. This item remains permanently with the account, regardless of future downloadable content ownership. The stone grants access to a specific dungeon featuring a unique storyline, a dedicated boss fight, and exclusive loot. Project Cloud Games has stated that this item will not be distributed again after the August 26 cutoff.
Ongoing Development and Support
Since the game's initial launch on July 31, the developer has been implementing a series of patches based on community feedback. Recent changes include replacing gold rewards from common enemies with Relic power to assist in skill progression and adding new map icons to improve navigation for the game's 80 boss encounters, referred to as "Brutals."
Project Cloud Games reports that these updates, which have addressed stability, NPC behavior, combat balancing, and localization, have resulted in improved player ratings and reviews. The studio maintains that it will continue to refine the game alongside the upcoming console launches.
Specific instructions on how to acquire and redeem the Sealing Stone reward are expected to be shared by the developer at a later date.
