Collector Box Contents and Pricing Structure
Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially confirmed the release of the God of War Laufey Collector Box, a specialized merchandise bundle aimed at dedicated franchise followers. The package is scheduled to hit the market on February 16, 2027, coinciding with the launch of the new game. Priced at $149.99 USD, this collection prioritizes physical memorabilia over digital incentives. It is necessary for potential buyers to understand that this bundle does not contain a copy of the game software. Players who wish to play the title must acquire the game separately through standard digital or physical retail channels, as the box serves strictly as a companion piece for enthusiasts.
Physical Specifications and Distribution
The collection centers on high-quality physical items designed for display. The primary inclusion is a light-up Faye statue, which requires a USB power source to activate its illumination features. Beyond the statue, the box includes a 51-card Oracle Deck and a physical mini artbook. Sony has confirmed that this product will be sold exclusively through official PlayStation direct sales channels. This distribution strategy limits availability, meaning interested parties should monitor official storefronts to secure their units. The following table provides a breakdown of the core specifications for this upcoming release:
| Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Release Date | February 16, 2027 |
| Retail Price | $149.99 USD |
| Platform Compatibility | PlayStation 5 |
| Distribution | PlayStation Direct Exclusive |
| Included Media | None (Game sold separately) |
The decision to exclude the game software from the collector box is a notable choice for the publisher, placing the focus entirely on the physical artifacts. For those planning to integrate the Faye statue into a gaming setup, ensure that a USB power source is readily available to utilize the light-up functionality. Given the exclusive nature of the sale, inventory is expected to be restricted to official channels, which may impact how quickly the items sell out upon release.
