Netflix has confirmed that Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe will arrive on the streaming platform on August 31, 2026. The announcement accompanied the release of a new trailer for the film.

This second installment of the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway trilogy follows the project's initial film, which premiered in 2021 and is also currently available on Netflix. The sequel follows the protagonist Hathaway Noa and is set in the Universal Century timeline, specifically in UC 0105.
The production features a screenplay by Yasuyuki Muto, with storyboards handled by Shinichirou Watanabe and a theme song performed by SZA. The film previously saw a limited theatrical run, debuting in Japanese theaters this past January before reaching American cinemas in May.
Future Gundam Projects
While the final chapter of the Hathaway trilogy remains unannounced, Sunrise has several other projects in development for the franchise. Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO, a new anime set in a post-apocalyptic universe, is slated for 2027. This will be accompanied by an action game, Mobile Suit Rogue Orbit, also expected in 2027. Additionally, a prequel film titled Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom Zero is currently in the works.
