Nintendo has confirmed the upcoming availability of the Legend of Zelda Special Edition Nintendo Switch 2 console, with several major retailers preparing for a staggered release schedule starting this week. Consumers looking to secure this limited-edition hardware should note that availability windows vary significantly depending on the specific store and whether the purchase is made in-person or through digital storefronts.
Retailer Availability and Launch Schedule
Target has announced a two-phase rollout for its inventory. In-store restocks are scheduled to begin on November 5, providing a physical opportunity for shoppers to acquire the console. Following the initial in-store release, Target will open its online stock for purchase on November 6. These dates represent the primary windows for those specifically targeting Target locations for their hardware needs.
In addition to standard retail availability, Best Buy is hosting a midnight launch event centered around the release of the Ocarina of Time Remake. During this event, the Zelda-themed Switch 2 console will be available for purchase on a first-come-first-served basis. This event serves as a key opportunity for those hoping to secure the hardware alongside the new software release.
International and Regional Retailers
For players located in the United Kingdom, stock distribution is being handled through specific retail partners. Amazon and EE have been confirmed as the primary retailers carrying the Zelda-themed console in that region. Players should monitor these specific storefronts for updates regarding local stock levels and potential pre-order fulfillment windows as the launch date approaches.
