The goal is simple: keep the full gaming archive safe while giving every new story a modern home that feels like a real newsroom, not a basic blog feed.
What changed
The new platform now serves the publication from Cloudflare Pages Functions with article data stored in Cloudflare D1. That means new stories can appear through a private publishing API without rebuilding the entire website every time an article goes live. It also means the homepage, latest feed, category pages, article pages, RSS feed, Atom feed, sitemap index, News sitemap, and legacy Blogger URLs can all be controlled from one system.
Why this matters for readers
Readers should feel the difference immediately. The front page now gives priority to a strong lead story, top coverage, latest posts, and category hubs for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, mobile gaming, esports, guides, and reviews. Article pages show the byline, published time, updated time, reading time, source attribution, thumbnail, key facts, and related coverage in a cleaner layout.
This matters because gaming news moves fast. A story about a patch, release date, performance issue, server outage, trailer, update, or esports result can burn out quickly. The new system is designed to publish fast while still protecting search quality. Strong articles can be indexed normally. Thin or incomplete posts remain readable by direct URL but are kept out of Google indexing until they are expanded.
How the archive stays safe
Old Blogger links are not thrown away. The imported archive keeps the original year/month `.html` paths so older search results and backlinks continue to land on the right story. If an old URL is not yet in the Cloudflare database, the system can fall back to the legacy Blogger origin.
What comes next
The staging version remains noindexed while final checks continue. After the main domain is connected, the production site can turn indexing on, submit the sitemap index and News sitemap, use IndexNow for fast discovery, and continue publishing through the private API. The result is a cleaner publication system that respects the old archive but no longer looks or behaves like a cheap Blogger homepage.
