Game Freak has released update 1.0.7 for Beast of Reincarnation, targeting several technical and gameplay frustrations identified since the game's August 2026 launch. The patch is available now across all platforms and focuses on improving the overall experience based on initial player feedback.
Key Changes and Fixes
The update introduces a variety of adjustments meant to stabilize gameplay and address pacing concerns. Notable improvements include:
- Camera and Controls: The player camera has received adjustments both in and out of combat. Additionally, players can now remap the "interact" button in the settings menu.
- Combat and Balance: The parry window has been adjusted for when the protagonist, Emma, takes damage. Developers have also rebalanced various bosses across all difficulty levels and enemy encounters on Normal difficulty.
- Story Pacing: Affinity-building conversations are now limited to once per day to prevent the repetitive dialogue sequences reported by players.
- Performance Settings: The default cinematic cutscene setting is now set to "Performance" mode, moving away from the 24fps "Cinematic" default. Players who previously selected Cinematic can manually switch to Performance in the settings.
- Bug Fixes: The patch resolves several technical issues, including a bug that prevented interaction with certain NPCs, an issue where upscaling settings would reset upon restart, and a V-Sync bug that incorrectly impacted resolution settings.
Players do not need to take any action other than ensuring their game client is updated to the latest version to apply these changes. Game Freak noted that further updates are currently in development, with future plans to include support for DLSS 4/4.5 and FSR4.
