The release is split into two distinct versions. The Arcade Archives 2 series, launching on the newer console hardware, includes a new Time Attack Mode alongside the standard Original, Hi Score, and Caravan modes. These versions also feature Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support, which the publisher notes is designed to replicate the original arcade experience with higher precision.

Players looking to access the updated Arcade Archives 2 version can utilize an upgrade option priced at $2.99 (330 yen).
