New Launch Timeline for the Franchise

Gattis revealed the updated release schedule during an interview with The Game Business, outlining the upcoming sequence of releases for the franchise. "Atlantis comes February 12 of next year, and then we'll follow on in 2028 with the next one," said Gattis.

The Atlantis reference points to Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a reimagining of the original Tomb Raider title. That project is currently set to launch on February 12, 2027. It is slated for a broad multi-platform release across the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Platform Details for Tomb Raider: Catalyst

Unlike its predecessor in the release lineup, Tomb Raider: Catalyst is currently targeted specifically for current-generation hardware and PC. Confirmed platforms for the game include the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Nintendo Switch 2 support has not been announced for Catalyst, though Legacy of Atlantis maintains a release on Nintendo's newer hardware.

With the delay pushing Tomb Raider: Catalyst out of its previous 2027 slot, players looking for their next major adventure with Lara Croft will have Legacy of Atlantis arriving early next year before the next core entry follows in 2028.
