The 40th Anniversary Premium Edition includes the Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack, featuring a cosmetic outfit themed to Ellen Ripley's appearance near the climax of the 1986 film Aliens, alongside a modified pulse rifle with a fiery surprise. It also includes Herk Mondo’s Pest Pack, which brings a comic-book-inspired outfit and a massive modified pulse rifle, plus unique decals for marine customization.

Players who purchase the Standard Edition can also buy these additions separately as the "40th Anniversary Premium Edition Upgrade" for $19.99.

Gameplay and Alien: Romulus Crossover

The sequel supports up to four players in cooperative squads taking on Xenomorph swarms across hostile environments. Daybreak notes that the game features deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class.

Additionally, players across all editions can purchase the Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack on August 25 for $9.99. This add-on brings an outfit based on Rain Carradine from the 2024 film Alien: Romulus, complete with a specially modified pulse rifle featuring an underbarrel cryoweapon designed to immobilize and shatter enemies using the game's element-based weapon mods.
