Platform Breakdown and Month-on-Month Growth

The Nintendo Switch 2 led the European hardware market for June 2026 with 229,966 units sold, bringing its total lifetime sales in the region to 4.83 million. Year-to-date figures put the newer Nintendo platform at 1.25 million units sold for 2026.

The PlayStation 5 followed closely behind as the second best-selling console, moving an estimated 210,036 units to reach 32.82 million in lifetime sales. Month-on-month, PS5 sales climbed by over 86,000 units compared to May, with 2026 year-to-date sales hitting 1.11 million units.

In third place, the Xbox Series X|S generated 50,338 units in sales for June, pushing its European lifetime total to 8.68 million units. Xbox Series X|S sales rose by nearly 22,000 units month-on-month and ticked up 6.9 percent compared to the same month a year ago, with 0.17 million units sold year-to-date in 2026.

Rounding out the chart, the original Nintendo Switch took fourth place with 33,919 units sold, bringing its long-standing lifetime total to 39.84 million units and 0.20 million sold through 2026 so far. Switch 1 sales experienced a modest month-on-month increase of over 1,000 units.
