Magitech Weapons and Ranged Combat
Guns & Dragons is built around fast-paced ranged combat, evolving character builds, and over-engineered weaponry. Players venture into a magitech fantasy world—exploring caverns, dungeons, and quaint villages—using firearms, bows, and arcane technology to blast through hordes of enemy monsters.
According to ABUTTON game director Park Jun-woo, the team wanted to capture the excitement of designing ridiculous weaponry and testing how far those designs can go. Players start each run with a standard gun or bow before pushing it past its original design through unhinged upgrades, runes, artifacts, and enchanted ammunition.
Roguelite Progression and Playtest Details
Between runs, players can expand their bases and develop gear infused with arcane technology. Combinations of relics, runes, and skills mean that no two runs are alike, offering challenging firefights and bosses designed to test player limits.
PC players interested in trying the game can check out the storefront pages on Steam and the Epic Games Store ahead of the July 30 playtest.
