A specific unit within the U.S. Army is using the upcoming launch of Grand Theft Auto 6 as an incentive for soldiers to extend their service. Twenty members of the 9th Brigade Engineering Battalion at Fort Stewart, Georgia, have already signed up for reenlistment packages that include four days of access to the game.

The Reenlistment Incentive

The offer is currently limited to approximately 130 soldiers within the battalion. By choosing to reenlist, these service members commit to a minimum of two years of additional duty. According to Lt. Col. Angel Tomko, the program was designed by the command team and career counselors to create a unique incentive that aligns with the personal interests of the soldiers.

Grand Theft Auto 6 Launch Details

The high level of anticipation surrounding the title has made it a notable cultural event ahead of its release. Rockstar Games has maintained a tight-lipped marketing strategy, though the game remains one of the most anticipated releases of the decade based on pre-sale interest.
