NetEase has pulled back the curtain on the Marvel Rivals Season 9 roadmap, confirming a packed schedule of content that includes a new hero, a fresh battleground, and an expanded PvE experience. The update officially kicks off on July 10, 2026.

Jubilee Joins the Roster

The headline addition for Season 9 is Jubilee, who brings her signature firework-based combat to the game when the update goes live on July 10. Her arrival coincides with a significant shakeup to the game's core systems, including a comprehensive overhaul of Team-Up Abilities and a character rework for Black Widow. To mark the launch, players can jump into the new 'The Faith-Harvesting Engine' Battle Pass and equip the Shogo Tote accessory.

New Map and PvE Content

Players looking for new arenas to battle in won't have to wait long. The Thebes map, which draws inspiration from ancient Egypt, is scheduled to arrive on July 24. This map serves as the thematic centerpiece for the season's battle pass.

Shortly after the map release, the game will expand its PvE offerings. On July 31, Path to Doomsday- Avengers: Age of Ultron will be added to the game, providing a new way for players to engage with the Marvel Rivals universe.

Events and Cosmetic Schedule

Season 9 features a steady stream of limited-time events and cosmetic drops. The 'Death of Apocalypse' event launches on day one, accompanied by 'The Resurrection of the Horsemen.' On July 17, players can participate in the 'Van Dyne Couture' event. Additionally, the Marvel Rivals Ignite Series Mid-Season Finals are set for July 31.

The shop will receive a steady rotation of comic and movie-inspired skins throughout the month:

  • July 10: Midnight Mutant (Jubilee), Raider Prime (Rogue), and Horsemen of Death (Wolverine).
  • July 17: Horsemen of Death (Gambit), Van Dyne Designs (Hawkeye), and Devil Dinosaur (Jeff the Land Shark).
  • July 24: Temple Protectors (Hela) and Horsemen of Death (Psylocke).
  • July 31: Brand New Day (Spider-Man), Brand New Day (Hulk), Avengers: Age of Ultron (Scarlet Witch), and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Winter Soldier).

Looking Ahead to Season 9.5

While the full details for the mid-season update remain under wraps, NetEase has confirmed that Season 9.5 will begin on August 7, 2026. Official trailers have teased that The Hood is slated to join the roster in the near future, with more specific announcements expected closer to the mid-season launch.
