Respawn Entertainment is rolling out a substantial rework for one of the original six launch characters alongside ability tweaks for two other combatants as Apex Legends enters its 30th season. Bloodhound, who has been part of the roster since day one, is receiving a refined set of abilities and an entirely new ultimate designed to match the faster pace of modern matches.

- Bloodhound Changes: Upgraded glowing passive trail, longer tactical scans with follow-up snapshots, and a team-cloaking ultimate called Allfather's Cloak.
- Loba Changes: Shorter ultimate cooldown and a faster, longer-flying tactical.
- Rampart Changes: Faster movement while using the Sheila minigun and quicker-deploying Amped Cover that absorbs more damage.
Bloodhound Overhaul and Allfather's Cloak Ultimate
Everything in Bloodhound's kit is getting attention, though the tracker identity remains intact. The passive ability now displays a much clearer glowing trail of enemy movements. White Ravens leading toward nearby enemies will fly further and activate with a simple look rather than requiring a scan or physical interaction.
The tactical scan now features longer full-body tracking accompanied by follow-up snapshot scans, making it harder for enemies to evade a pursuing squad. The biggest shift arrives with the ultimate. Replacing Beast of the Hunt is Allfather's Cloak, an ability that cloaks teammates within range, grants threat vision, and boosts movement speed. Allies can maintain the cloaked state briefly after leaving the area, though taking damage or firing a weapon removes the effect immediately.
Speed Buffs for Loba and Rampart
Alongside the Bloodhound update, Loba and Rampart are receiving adjustments aimed at keeping them viable against newer characters. Both updates focus heavily on mobility to counter the escalating movement speed across the roster.
Loba benefits from a reduced cooldown on her ultimate, letting her team access loot more frequently. Her tactical equipment also travels faster and further, improving escape and repositioning options.
Rampart gains increased movement speed while operating her Sheila minigun, adding much-needed flexibility during critical fights. Her Amped Cover deploys faster and absorbs more damage, allowing her to hold defensive spaces more reliably while supporting teammates.
