Season 14 of Diablo 4 introduces a series of major changes to Sanctuary, headlined by the arrival of Pandemonium Ruptures. These portals are tearing through the world, bringing new challenges, a revamped gear system, and a dedicated mode for solo players.

⚡ Quick Facts
  • Event: Pandemonium Ruptures
  • New Currency: Glints of Hope
  • New Gear Tier: Mythic Uniques
  • New Mode: Solo Self Found (SSF)

How to Complete Pandemonium Ruptures

Ruptures serve as the primary activity for Season 14. To participate, hunt for a Death's Head Idol and defeat its guardians, identified on your map by a tear icon. Once the portal opens, you must remain inside the tear’s area to break it; staying within this zone invokes more enemies and extends the event's duration.

There are three distinct tiers of Ruptures available:

  • Regular Ruptures: Appear across Sanctuary, frequently within Helltide zones.
  • Surging Ruptures: Replace standard Helltide local events.
  • Colossal Ruptures: Found exclusively in the Fields of Desecration, southeast of Zarbinzet.

Successfully closing these rifts earns you Glints of Hope, which you can trade at the board in Zarbinzet for rewards, including Pandemonium Fragments. These fragments are essential for crafting Mythic Uniques. Additionally, completing a Surging Rupture with Mastery—or closing a Colossal Rupture—gives you a chance to encounter a powerful Realmwalker boss.

Upgrading to Mythic Uniques

Season 14 pushes character power further with the introduction of Mythic Uniques. These Ancestral-tier items feature a 30% buff to their signature powers. You can obtain them either as direct drops or by converting existing Uniques.

To craft a Mythic Unique, you must meet these criteria:

  1. Reach at least level 70 in Torment+ difficulty to unlock the recipe.
  2. Visit the Jeweler and use the Horadric Cube.
  3. Provide an 850+ item level Unique as the base material. Note that the item only needs to share the same type as the desired Mythic Unique; it does not need to be the specific piece you are upgrading.

Solo Self Found (SSF) Mode

For players seeking a pure, isolated experience, Season 14 adds the Solo Self Found mode. In this mode, your character is locked out of all multiplayer interactions—you cannot join parties or trade with other players.

SSF characters also operate with a completely fresh stash; you cannot transfer items or currency from your regular game characters. This mode includes an exclusive Tower leaderboard, allowing you to track your progress against other players committed to the same solitary challenge.
