Starward Version 3.1 is officially live on Xbox, bringing a wave of new content to the 3D fighting game. The latest update, titled “Summer Dive,” introduces three new Star Operators, a returning collaboration event, and fresh summer-themed rewards for players.
Pliszka and the New Operator Roster
The standout addition to the roster is Pliszka, a new Star Operator from the AODS-AFTU faction. Designed by lead developer Zongzi, Pliszka utilizes the “Wing Rider Assembly,” a gear set that provides heavy firepower and a “Cruising State” for high-speed movement.
While the assembly offers significant combat advantages, it comes with tactical trade-offs, including a larger hitbox and a faster descent speed. Commanders can choose to detach the assembly mid-battle to trade that raw power for increased agility. Pliszka is joined in this update by two other new operators, Remiel and Simona, both of whom are available as part of the Version 3.1 rollout.
Frame Arms Girl Reruns and Summer Rewards
The community-requested Frame Arms Girl collaboration has officially returned. Starting July 9, players who missed the initial event can once again recruit Gourai-Kai, Stylet, and Baselard.
Additionally, the new “Summer Dive” event invites players to participate in an underwater treasure hunt. By completing daily missions, players earn Exploration Coins to exchange for shop rewards. The event also features a free swimsuit skin for the character Cherub. According to the development team, players should also keep an eye out for an unexpected mystery character hidden within the event’s exploration mode.
Core Gameplay and Combat Systems
Starward continues to lean into its GVG-inspired combat roots, featuring fast-paced 1V1 and 2V2 matches that typically last around three minutes. The game utilizes a COST system—ranging from 1.5 to 3.0—requiring players to strategically configure their teams for the best results. With the release of Version 3.1, players can now also access the new Season Pass character, “Legion Massproduction” (LM), alongside new swimsuit skins for Lancelot and Cherub.
