To assist with the chaos of the worksite, the game utilizes proximity chat, allowing players to hear each other based on their in-game location. For situations where distance makes voice communication difficult, each character is equipped with a built-in laser pointer, enabling players to coordinate rescues or highlight parts from afar.

The developer has also implemented a practice-focused lobby system. This area allows players to test movement and mechanics before heading into a shift, including the ability to shoot hoops, ensuring players are comfortable with the controls before navigating high-stakes environments.

Building and Progression

Success in FixForce is measured by the completion of repair jobs, which rewards players with currency. This can be used to acquire new tools for increased efficiency and to unlock cosmetic updates for their robot uniforms. The game encourages creative construction; developers have noted instances of players building elaborate structures, such as DNA-style double helixes or giant robots fashioned from spare parts, to navigate the environment.
