Designed Around Shared Mechanics
Brave Escape features two central characters, Colin and Floyd, neither of whom can complete the journey independently. Colin carries a climbing rope to open new pathways, while Floyd utilizes a boost ability to help both adventurers reach otherwise inaccessible areas. Success relies heavily on timing, communication, and trust, particularly as later stages demand synchronized actions.
As players progress through the adventure, Floyd acquires specialized gadgets suited to different regional environments. These tools include a Wind Gun in Glacial Falls, obstacle-freezing mechanics in Moai Chambers, and magnetic object manipulation in Thunder Ridge, expanding both puzzle-solving and platforming mechanics across more than 100 main stages.
The Complete Console Edition Content
The console launch brings the most comprehensive version of the game to date, packaging all major content updates from its original Steam release—where it earned a 'Very Positive' player reception. Console buyers get 45 additional levels added post-launch, alongside 70 bonus levels spanning seven distinct worlds, alongside various gameplay refinements, accessibility options, and visual enhancements.
Multiplayer Support and Friend's Pass
Both online and local co-op modes are supported out of the box, with full cross-platform multiplayer enabled between Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC players. To make playing with others easier, Hit Start Studios included a free Friend's Pass companion app. This allows a second player to join the full-game owner using an invite code without needing to purchase a separate copy.
Brave Escape is available now digitally on the Xbox Store, PlayStation Store, and Steam for £15.49.
