Count Binface, the independent candidate currently campaigning to become the Member of Parliament for Clacton, has issued a public appeal to Sega regarding two of his long-standing interests: the revival of the defunct London SegaWorld arcade and the production of Shenmue 4.
In a recent video message, the candidate—the alter ego of British writer Jonathan David Harvey—directly addressed the publisher, stating, “The Shenmue fans are amazing, Sega! You need to get your bottoms in gear, sort yourselves out, and get the update done.”
A Renewed Push for SegaWorld
Beyond his demands for the Shenmue franchise, the 46-year-old candidate highlighted his desire to see the return of the Trocadero-based SegaWorld. “I’d quite like to reboot SegaWorld in London’s Trocadero and have Sonic the Hedgehog back in his prime. Oh, that would be wonderful,” he stated in the video.
This is not the first time the candidate has signaled his interest in the former gaming landmark. He previously referenced the defunct arcade in his 2021 London mayoralty manifesto, suggesting a consistent interest in the site that closed its doors in 1999.

The call to action was spotted in a video shared by the Shenmue Dojo community, which has been circulating the hashtag #LetsGetShenmue4. The appeal highlights the ongoing enthusiasm from fans of the series, as well as the enduring cultural footprint of the original London-based Sega resort.
