Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced has reached a sales milestone of three million units. The company announced the figure via social media on July 17, 2026, just over a week after the game's initial release.

Quick Facts

  • Total Sales: Over 3 million copies sold.
  • Launch Performance: Exceeded 2 million copies in the first 24 hours.
  • New Content: A New Game+ mode is confirmed to be in development.
  • Platform Availability: PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X.

The title, which launched on July 9, 2026, saw a strong opening period. Ubisoft reported two million copies sold on launch day alone, a figure that outperformed the opening day performance of Assassin's Creed Shadows, which recorded one million players on its first day in 2025.

Community Rewards and Future Updates

To celebrate the sales figures, Ubisoft released a redemption code for players to claim in-game items. By entering ACBF-PHGN-SYBJ-RTRF on the official Ubisoft redemption portal, players receive the Crimson Storm sails along with 1,500 Animus Keys for use in the Animus Hub.

Following requests from the community, the developer also confirmed that a New Game+ mode is currently in the works. Brand head Martin Schelling stated that the project was designed to honor the original Black Flag experience while modernizing it for contemporary hardware.

Studio Developments

While the game has seen commercial success, the development period was marked by internal changes at the studio. Reports from July 2026 indicate that Ubisoft Barcelona, one of the teams involved in the project, recently underwent a reduction in staff affecting 51 employees.

The performance of Black Flag Resynced is viewed as a significant indicator for the future of the series. Previous reports suggested that Ubisoft has plans for additional remakes of classic Assassin's Creed titles, with the greenlighting of those projects tied to the performance of this release.
