Publisher Gravity Game Arise has officially announced that Jaleco Arcade Collection Vol. 1 and Jaleco Arcade Collection Vol. 2 will arrive on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam this winter. These collections aim to bring a wide variety of arcade titles from the 1980s and 1990s to modern platforms, complete with quality-of-life enhancements for all skill levels.

Enhanced Features for Modern Play

Gravity Game Arise is outfitting these classic ports with features designed to make the retro experience more accessible. Players will be able to utilize an active rewind function to correct mistakes in real-time, along with multiple save slots to manage progress. Additionally, the collections include customizable rapid-fire settings, full button remapping, and the ability to toggle between different regional versions of the games, such as Japanese and overseas editions.

Jaleco Arcade Collection Vol. 1 Lineup

The first volume focuses on a mix of action and shooter titles, including:

  • Aeroboto (Formation Z): A mech action title featuring transformations between robot and plane modes.
  • The Astyanax (The Lord of King): A fantasy action game where players wield a giant axe to fight the Demon King's forces.
  • City Connection: A classic drive-and-dodge game featuring oil cans and police evasion.
  • Cybattler: A space shooter allowing players to switch between eight-way shots and beam sabers.
  • Field Combat: A strategic shooter where players capture enemies to turn them into allies.
  • Naughty Boy: An objective-based game focused on suppressing monsters by burning bases.
  • P-47: The Freedom Fighter: A WWII-themed shooter featuring the iconic P-47 aircraft.
  • Pig’s & Bomber’s: A survival action game centered on bomb-throwing mechanics.
  • Saint Dragon: A side-scrolling shooter where players control a giant, invincible space dragon.
