Mariana Games has launched a free playtest for Yareta, an open-world puzzle adventure game currently in development. The build is available now on Steam and offers players two hours of exploration without the need for sign-up forms or keys.

Gameplay Features
As an agent of the World Library, players explore ruins and landscapes by interacting with objects and creatures to uncover the history of the land. The game removes traditional combat, replacing it with a system where players gather clues from the environment. The newly added pack gear system allows players to clip items to their character to create varied effects, which the developer notes can change how specific tasks are solved.
Yareta has received early recognition, including four Bahamut ACG Creation Awards and a selection as one of the Indie 80 titles for Tokyo Game Show 2026. The developers will present the game at the event in Makuhari Messe, which runs from September 17 to September 21, 2026.
