Torchlight: Infinite is set to receive its latest seasonal update, "Afterlight," on July 16, 2026. The update brings a fresh slate of content for the ARPG, including new hero mechanics, challenge modes, and a series of quality-of-life improvements across PC and mobile platforms.
Quick Facts
- Launch Date: July 16, 2026
- Platforms: PC, iOS, Android
- New Hero Trait: Dance of the Deep (Tide Whisper Selena)
- New Challenge: Divine Ascent
Seasonal Mechanics and Rewards
The core mechanic of the new season, Afterlight, introduces a "Guiding Lantern" that activates as night falls. Players must purify restless Wraiths along the procession's path to uncover relics and loot. The developer has confirmed that this system includes golden reward monsters, special coffins, and surprise boss encounters to increase the intensity of each run.
Log-in rewards are also a focus for the launch. Players who check in daily can claim a Legendary Battle Pactspirit Selection Pack, with additional 10x Battle Pactspirit draws available starting in the second week. Completing season objectives will net further rewards, such as Season Drop Pactspirits, exclusive weapon appearances, and "Tax Vouchers."
Hero Traits and Progression
Tide Whisper Selena joins the roster with the "Dance of the Deep" hero trait. This build focuses on Terra skills, designed to allow the Crimson Tide to flow with player movement for new combat possibilities. Alongside this, the "Nether King's Divinity" progression system debuts a new type of Divinity Slate. Players can brand Divine Remnants to cultivate unique forms and utilize effects like Judgment, Contamination, and Banishment to customize their build paths.
Divine Ascent Challenge
For those looking for a test of skill, the "Divine Ascent" mode introduces a three-minute time limit for climbing floors. Players will face bosses and random events to earn first-clear rewards, with progress tracked on both First Clear and Infinity Rankings.
System and Visual Overhauls
The update includes significant backend and user-interface refinements. Lunaria has been moved to a core status to simplify build construction, while the "Renewed Memory" system is now permanent in a streamlined format. The "Dream Interpretation" system has been retired to make way for a reworked gear affix experience.
Quality-of-life additions include:
- Trade House price checking and Quick Buy features
- One-Tap skill leveling
- Adjustable mouse cursor size
- Independent brightness and transparency controls for visual effects
Visual upgrades have also been applied to Ember’s Rest, the Netherrealm Device, select hero models, and various gear icons to round out the season's technical polish.
