Roblox has hosted no shortage of collaborations, but the latest announcement is perhaps one of the most unexpected: The Rolling Stones are officially coming to the platform. Starting July 10, 2026, players can participate in a new, game-based experience spanning the legendary rock band's 60-year history.
The core gameplay revolves around a collection of colorful crystals inspired by the band’s 2023 album, Hackney Diamonds. According to the press materials, these crystals trap various parts of the Stones' musical legacy. Players are tasked with progressing through different decades of the band’s career, working together to shatter these crystals while iconic tracks from the corresponding era play in the background.
Shattering these crystals powers up a massive, signature tongue-and-lips logo, which triggers a surge of energy to disrupt the current decade and unlock the next. The entire experience is set to culminate in a globally shared, interactive performance from July 17 to July 19, which will evolve based on community participation.
Community-Created Accessories and Physical Gear
The collaboration extends beyond the game world itself. Roblox has tapped a group of community creators—including Jazzyx3, CASKA’s HAUS, Touzled, Blizzei, DIONESS, morphist4u, WhoseTrade, Empyro, Bad_B0y, raekaro, Spiraxy, Valkenheim, DuckXander, Clockset, and dvdko—to design exclusive avatar accessories based on the band's iconic logo.
Furthermore, the event introduces a direct e-commerce element to the platform. Players can purchase a limited-edition, co-branded physical item via an in-game Shopify integration, which links directly to the band’s official online store.
An Unlikely Collision of Eras
While the Rolling Stones remain a massive commercial force, the premise of bringing 80-plus-year-old rock icons—Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood—to a platform primarily defined by its younger user base is certainly a unique, if not jarring, creative choice. Whether this serves as a meaningful introduction to rock history for a new generation or simply remains a bizarre corporate crossover, the scale of the production is undeniable.
For those looking to see how the Stones' legacy translates into the world of mobile gaming and PC, the event goes live today. Rock on.
