The long-teased Tamriel Rebuilt 26.08 expansion, Poison Song, is now available for The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind on PC via Nexus Mods and GOG. Requiring a copy of the base game along with all its expansions, this new update brings major additions to the mainland map, most notably letting players join Great House Indoril and the Temple Ordinators.

What's New in Poison Song

Set on the outskirts of Mournhold near the Dunmer capital, the new Orethan Fields region introduces a Japanese-inspired locale featuring manicured greenery, cherry blossom trees, posh estates, the settlement of Othrenis, and the chapel of Nanaav. This provides a clear shift from the rocky environments typically found outside Vvardenfell's coasts.

For the first time, players can join Great House Indoril through an entirely new questline comparable in scope to the base game's three joinable houses. By humoring Indoril Sandil at the chapel of Gorne, players can engage with the political and religious history of the former hegemons of Resdayn.

Alternatively, players can join the Temple Ordinators to serve as Morrowind lawkeepers. Three distinct orders are available: the Order of Doctrine in the Orethan Fields, which deals with orthodoxy and heresy, alongside the Order of the Watch and the Order of War based in Almas Thirr. The expansion also revamps the Sundered Scar region and the quests located in the Imperial-dominated city of Old Ebonheart.

Next Steps for Tamriel Rebuilt

Following the release of Poison Song, developer Sultan of Rum outlined the project's ongoing roadmap. The next expansion, Wealth Beyond Measure, will focus on the Hlaalu arc, filling out the southwestern quadrant of Morrowind and introducing the metropolis of Kragenmoor with level design mostly complete. Beyond that, the team plans to target House Redoran in Morrowind's northwest.
