Seed Sparkle Lab has confirmed that Starsand Island will officially exit early access on August 18, 2026. This transition arrives just five months after the game first became available on PC, with the developer moving to full release following a period of community-driven development.
Key Changes in Version 1.0
The primary addition arriving with the 1.0 launch is four-player multiplayer. This feature is designed to allow players to coordinate on island activities, including:
- Farming and tending to animals
- Fishing
- Building structures
- Exploring the island environment
Beyond the new multiplayer functionality, the developer states that this update includes various refinements to existing features based on player feedback gathered during the early access period.
Player Impact and Availability
The update is exclusive to the PC version of the game. Players who have already purchased the early access title will transition to the full version on launch day. No specific manual action, such as enabling a beta branch or claiming a new key, has been required by the developer at this time.
Seed Sparkle Lab has noted that a special launch discount will be active on the day of the release for new buyers. The studio also confirmed that the 1.0 release is intended to be the start of ongoing support, with plans to introduce further content and improvements in future updates.
