  • DLC Price: $3.99 USD / £3.59 / 3,99€ for the Back in the Band pack.

Back in the Band DLC Fighters and Assists

The paid expansion completes the main band roster by adding Stephen Stills, Kim Pine, and Knives Chau as playable fighters. Each character introduces distinct mechanics to the brawler:

  • Stephen Stills: Designed for close-range pressure, utilizing guitar swings and loud bursts of sound.
  • Kim Pine: Focuses on mix-ups and heavy hits using sticks, stomps, and drum attacks.
  • Knives Chau: Employs high-speed movement, flips, shadow clones, and her long battle scarf.

Additionally, three new assist fighters join the cast. Joseph fires a wall of sound, Hollie locks down enemies with a multi-hit remote, and Mr. Chau summons shadow clones for extra strikes. The pack also bundles new moves, combos, and color sets.

Coin-Op Chaos Arcade Mode Update

Alongside the paid characters, the free Coin-Op Chaos update delivers a new Arcade Mode for all base game owners. The mode streamlines stage-to-stage progression while incorporating lives, credits, scores, and local rankings through key locations and boss fights from the main release.

Arcade Mode supports solo play or up to four players locally and online. The update includes cross-platform play, allowing participants to drop in or out during active runs.

Platform Support and Pricing Details

While the DLC and base game list Steam Deck and Linux compatibility alongside Windows, specific technical verifications such as Proton status, Vulkan support, and official Steam Deck verification badges remain unconfirmed by the source. The launch window discount applies exclusively on Steam through September 9th, while normal pricing remains active on the Humble Store.
