Jagex has officially rolled out a comprehensive update to Player-Owned Housing in RuneScape, marking a significant milestone in the game’s 25th Anniversary Road to Restoration. The update introduces a complete overhaul of the Construction skill and provides players with expanded tools to design and manage their in-game residences.

Quick Facts

  • Construction skill cap increased to 120.
  • Over 650 new decorative items added.
  • Homestead system supports up to five players per community.
  • New utility features include teleportation hubs, combat preparation stations, and advanced storage solutions.

Expanded Customization and Creative Freedom

The update moves beyond traditional housing layouts by offering five unique house styles and flexible room shapes. Players now have the ability to customize interior frames, flooring, and furniture skins. Personalization is further enhanced by the new Shroud System, which alters the visual appearance of the plot’s surroundings, and a Weather Vane that allows residents to control the local atmosphere.

For those looking to curate their space, a new Music Box and Jukebox system allows players to play their favorite melodies from across Gielinor within their home. The update also introduces a new furniture crafting system that supports both active and passive training, allowing players to unlock new recipes and decorations as they progress toward the new level 120 cap.

Showcasing Achievements

Players can now treat their homes as museums for their accomplishments. New display cases and stations are available for Boss Trophies, Archaeological finds, and rare weapons. The addition of the Achievement Log Display, Skillscape Stand, and a dedicated Prestigious Cape Stand gives players distinct ways to exhibit their progression to visiting friends.

Enhanced Utility and Storage

Beyond aesthetics, the update adds functional improvements to streamline daily activities. New utility furniture includes:

  • Travel Hubs: Teleport Nexuses, Jewelry Boxes, and Player Owned Ports Access Tables.
  • Combat Prep: Potion and Tea Cauldrons, Armour Repair stands, and a mini War’s Restoration crystal.
  • Storage Upgrades: Dedicated spaces for items, pets, and equipment, including the Furniture Trunk, Menagerie, and Aquarium.
  • Skilling Support: New and expanded lecterns designed to assist with tablet creation and other crafting activities.
