Developer Froke and publisher Pretty Soon have set an August 19 release date for Project P.I.T.T., an incremental physics automation sandbox game coming to Steam with confirmed native support for Linux, Mac, and Windows.

Quick Facts

  • Release Date: August 19, 2026
  • Platforms: Linux, Mac, and Windows via Steam
  • Developer: Froke
  • Publisher: Pretty Soon

Ducks, Fans, and the Maw

The game turns office work into factory lines built above a hungry pit called the Maw. Players begin by manufacturing rubber ducks and dropping them into the pit. As jobs progress, tasks grow stranger and more complex.

Mechanically, the title relies on physics automation. Players use fans, magnets, pistons, and launchers to move goods across a bleak work site. One misaligned angle can jam an entire production line, while smart adjustments create massive operational combos. Additional goods and tools appear as the work expands.

Atmosphere and Native Linux Support

The environment utilizes a harsh PSX visual style featuring thick concrete walls, sharp lighting in dark rooms, and safety signage. Narrative elements remain mysterious, dropping hints about an overseeing Corporation while leaving questions unanswered regarding the origin of the facility and the growing appetite of the Maw.

For computer players, the Linux release is fully confirmed by the source, removing the need for Proton compatibility layers. However, Steam Deck support remains unconfirmed, and system requirements, Vulkan specifications, and frame rate targets have not yet been shared by the developer.

Ahead of its store debut, the title has surpassed 75,000 Steam wishlists and generated over 10 million views on YouTube through creator coverage from channels including GrayStillPlays, ImCade, and DangerouslyFunny.
