Mana Core Game Studios is set to launch its debut title, Utopia: Birth of The Heroes, into Steam Early Access on July 27. The project, developed by brothers Dante and Daniel Arjona, brings a war-torn arcane fantasy world to Linux, Mac, and Windows players, offering an initial 17 chapters of content.
Quick Facts
- Release Date: July 27, 2026
- Platform Availability: Linux, Mac, and Windows via Steam
- Content at Launch: Chapters 0 through 17 (8–10 hours of gameplay)
- Progress Carry-over: Current demo save data will transfer to the Early Access version
A Narrative-Driven Fantasy Experience
The game explores a medieval world fractured by war and conflicting ambitions. Players follow three distinct protagonists, each navigating their own past and personal struggles while pursuing different visions for a better society. According to the studio, these noble—and often dangerous—ideals serve as the core of the experience, with player choices directly influencing relationships and the ultimate fate of the represented kingdoms.
Mana Core Game Studios is utilizing the Early Access period to refine the game's presentation. Feedback regarding pacing, English localization, and interface design is a priority for the two-person team as they work toward completing the story beyond the initial 17 chapters.
Technical Details and Linux Support
For those tracking the technical side of the release, the studio has confirmed that a native Linux version is in the works. However, specific details regarding desktop environment compatibility, Vulkan support, and official Steam Deck verification remain unconfirmed at this time. While the current demo is playable on Linux via Proton, the studio is developing a separate native build for the platform.
The release also places a strong emphasis on its audio, featuring an original score by composer Peter Reid Jones. A guest composer is also slated to be revealed before the July 27 launch.
Players interested in the title can access the existing five-chapter demo on Steam immediately. Those who purchase the Early Access version will receive the final, full version of the game upon its eventual launch, the date for which has not yet been announced.
