Pocketpair has made a name for itself by integrating unexpected crossovers into Palworld. Following last year’s successful collaborations with Terraria—which added a themed dungeon, weapons, armor, and a raid boss—and the acclaimed FPS Ultrakill, players are looking to see where the studio will turn next.
While no new partnerships are currently on the books, Pocketpair publishing chief John "Bucky" Buckley recently shared a wishlist of potential crossovers. Speaking to Game8, Buckley emphasized that any future collaboration must adhere to the game's internal logic, noting that the team prioritizes feasibility over pure brand recognition.
The Challenges of Crossover Logistics
One of the most requested potential partners is Studio Wildcard’s Ark. Despite the two studios having a close relationship—including the recent release of a bundle—Buckley remains cautious about the technical hurdles involved in such a project.
"We'd love to work with ARK if that ever came around. We're very close to those guys. We just released a bundle with them. But actual asset collaborations take a lot of time. How do you put dinosaurs in Palworld? It's hard to figure that out."
Beyond Ark, Buckley identified Enshrouded and No Man's Sky as titles he would be interested in exploring. However, he clarified that these remain hypothetical, stating that the team would move forward with such plans only if they could make the integration work logistically.
Recent Technical Improvements
While the team considers its next content additions, the studio has been focusing on technical stability. The first update for Palworld 1.0 addressed critical issues that previously caused the game to freeze during teleportation. The patch also resolved a bug that resulted in save data being unintentionally discarded after certain operations.
