Developer Pocketpair has released the v1.0.3 update for Palworld, targeting several quality-of-life improvements and technical fixes following the 1.0 launch. The patch focuses on easing the collection of specific high-level resources and addressing persistent combat bugs.

Resource and Balance Adjustments

Players struggling with the World Tree Holy Water grind will see significant relief. The update reduces the item's weight from 1 to 0.1 and makes it easier to obtain. It is now included as a reward for World Tree expeditions and fishing, and collection rates from Pals in the World Tree area and Teafant Spring locations have been increased. Additionally, the item’s duration has been extended, and a new sound effect now plays when it is active.

Other notable balance changes include:

  • Jetragon Mounts: Technology unlock levels for Jetragon gear are reduced from 79 to 70, with lower material costs for crafting.
  • Crude Oil: Building costs for extractors and generators have been reduced, while production speeds for Crude Oil Extractors have been increased.
  • Aquatic Construction: The technology unlock level for the Aquatic Construction Kit is now 23, down from 66, with lower Ancient Technology Point requirements.
  • Fiber: The amount of Fiber obtained from trees has been doubled.

Bug Fixes and Technical Stability

The update addresses several critical issues affecting gameplay flow and performance:

  • Combat AI: A fix has been implemented for the bug causing summoned Pals to freeze or stop attacking during boss fights and base work.
  • Platform Crashes: Resolved crashes on PS5 related to parental controls and the Global Palbox, as well as Xbox One crashes occurring near World Tree field bosses.
  • Multiplayer: Fixed issues where Pals would vibrate on the client screen and unintended Fast Travel triggers during Tower Boss battles on dedicated servers.
