Hardwood is a critical resource in Palworld for players reaching the late-game tech tree. Unlike standard wood, it cannot be farmed via a base logging site and requires specific travel to harvest from the open world.

Hardwood Locations

You can reliably find hardwood by chopping down specific trees at two primary map locations:

  • Anubis Dunes (-127,-81): This sandy region, located on the northeastern coast near the starting island, is marked by a large stone Anubis statue. The trees here are distinct from those in the starting area and yield hardwood.
  • Moonflower Tower (-602,215): Located on the northwesternmost island, west of the Cherry Blossom Crossroads, the sakura trees found here also provide hardwood.

Best Tools for Harvesting

While any axe can harvest these trees, high-tier tools significantly reduce the time spent farming. If you are struggling with harvest speeds, consider crafting these:

Plasma Multicutter (Tech Level 54)

  • 50x Pal Metal Ingots
  • 50x Plasteel
  • 30x Bio Battery
  • 10x Computer
  • 10x Cryogenic Coolant

Pal Metal Axe (Tech Level 44)

  • 10x Pal Metal Ingot
  • 10x High Quality Wooden Board
  • 100x Stone
  • 5x Corrosive Solvent

If you have not yet reached these technology levels, you can speed up the process by deploying a Pal with the logging skill. They will assist you in chopping down the trees, cutting your farming time in half.
