How to Link Existing NTE Progress to Steam
New players can log in directly using Steam to start playing immediately. However, existing players who want to connect their current progress to the platform must follow a specific sequence to avoid losing access to their character data.
To link an existing account, players need to log in to NTE using their current game account first. From there, navigate to [User Center] > [Steam] to complete the link. Logging in directly through Steam first will create a fresh User ID instead, and that Steam account cannot subsequently be merged with an older profile.
Account Management and Cross-Platform Play
Once a Steam account is successfully linked to an email address via the User Center, players can use that email to access other platforms while keeping their progress synchronized.
For account management, third-party logins including Steam, Facebook, and Google can be unlinked in the User Center. Email accounts cannot be unlinked once set. If a Steam account is unlinked from an email address, character progress stays with the email account, while the Steam profile returns to an unused state. That unlinked Steam account can then be connected to a different NTE account that lacks an existing Steam link, following the same initial login procedure.
Steam login and linking features are restricted exclusively to the PC Steam client and cannot be performed on mobile or other client versions.
