The Grand Theft Auto 5 roleplay community is preparing for a major update as NoPixel V launches its closed beta phase on September 8 for PC players via the Rockstar Games Launcher.
Quick Facts
- Game: Grand Theft Auto 5 (NoPixel V mod)
- Platform: PC (via Rockstar Games Launcher)
- Closed Beta Start Date: September 8
- Access Method: Invite-only, rolling out in phases
Described by creator Koil as a "full rebuild," the project was developed in collaboration with Rockstar Games. The initial closed beta period is restricted to an exclusive group of approximately 450 content creators and selected roleplay participants who have received invites.
While the first phase of invites is nearly complete, Koil assured the community in an official Discord announcement that players who have not yet received an invite have not been ruled out. Access will expand through additional phases over time as part of a fresh start for the server's whitelist.
For current players, the rollout of NoPixel V will not disrupt existing servers. NoPixel Public and NoPixel 4.0 will remain active and fully supported. The integration of NoPixel V onto the proprietary Rockstar Games Launcher follows Rockstar's 2023 acquisition of the FiveM mod team, bringing the popular fan-made multiplayer framework closer to the official brand ecosystem.
