Rift Traversal: Stormchant Part I

The new chapter focuses on the narrative of Liu Bang’s struggle against the Snake Emperor. Players can now toggle between surface and underground layers via the Map interface. New in-match quests, including [Secret Delivery], [Tomb Search], [Book Search], and [Clear], offer opportunities for rewards like secret chests and Relics.

A major highlight is the Snake Guardian boss located at Shaohao's Altar. Players must collect Snake Emperor Tokens from quests and place two at the altar to summon the boss. Successfully defeating it rewards teams with the White Emperor Crate, with extra loot for the team dealing the most damage.

Additionally, Old Sophora has been added to the Outerworld. Heroes can trade surplus relics for global buffs, ranging from increased Void Coin earnings to damage bonuses. The spirit deer also makes an appearance, trading items with players who choose to feed and pet it.

Combat and System Adjustments

Several combat items and stats have been rebalanced. New seasonal combat items—Marvel·Erosion, Marvel·Completion, and Marvel·Life Array—are available through the new merchant, Huang Jikao. Notably, Marvel·Life Array provides a 20-second barrier that prevents teammates from falling to lethal damage.

The update also includes extensive water combat optimizations. Rescuing remains in water is now more fluid, as players can interrupt with Ascend and Descend commands, and unarmed attacks are now permitted while submerged. Movement and camera transitions during diving have also been polished to improve overall responsiveness.

Limited-Time Events and Store Updates

Several events are arriving following the update:

  • Glory Begins (July 23–29): Unlock character stories to earn rewards like Jade Disks and Ye Xiu epic accessories.
  • Official Team Shopping (July 23–August 5): A presale event for Ye Xiu's The King's Avatar·Team Demeter outfit, where joining the presale contributes to a final discount price.
  • Stormchant (July 16–29): An exploration-based event where players complete quests to progress through areas and claim milestone rewards.

The store sees a refresh as well, featuring new packs for Kurumi and Tessa, as well as a variety of discounted skins, poses, and emotes. The Wonder Chest has been upgraded to the Premium Wonder Chest, offering players choices between Void Coin giftboxes, Imprint Rollers, and other high-value consumables.

For competitive players, the Escort Codex has been updated with new rewards, including the Serpent-Cleaving Blade weapon skin, and the Guardian Courier Pact no longer applies to Celestia equipment, facilitating easier trading of materials like Sea Dragon Scale and Mystique Silver in the Trading Market.
