PC System and Driver Requirements

To ensure stable performance at launch, players must install the latest video card drivers. NVIDIA users need GeForce version 581.57 or newer, while AMD users should update to Radeon version 25.9.1 or newer.

Worth noting: Certain issues have been identified with AMD Radeon driver versions 25.10.2 and higher on specific PCs utilizing graphics cards such as the AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT and RX 7800 XT.

Additionally, players must install the latest version of Monster Hunter Wilds to access online multiplayer and downloadable content.

Save Transfers and Offline Event Quests

Players who participated in the Prologue Demo can carry over their progress. To transfer Prologue Demo save data, launch the full game while no full-version save data currently exists on your drive.

Capcom has also transitioned all 25 previously available event quests and Challenge Quests—including "Just What the Doctor Ordered"—into permanent additions that can now be played entirely offline. The event quest list at the Quest Counter has been reorganized so currently available quests appear at the top.

Bug Fixes and Balance Adjustments

The update addresses several system, monster, and player weapon bugs:

  • Bases and Facilities: Fixed a bug where the "Training Barrel" Pop-up Camp gear option appeared twice.
  • Monsters: Resolved unnatural textures appearing on Guardian Fulgur Anjanath's head, and corrected an issue where Arch-tempered Arkveld attack effects could be displaced by terrain interactions.
  • Sword & Shield: Fixed an issue preventing trap placement via radial menu shortcuts immediately after activating Focus Mode with weapons drawn.
  • System & Performance: Measures are active to prevent stuttering when a frame rate cap is paired with NVIDIA DLSS. The Arkveld: Mark of Mastery pendant animation has also been fixed to prevent stopping under high system load.
