The team behind Meccha Chameleon has issued a formal update regarding a security breach on their official Discord server. Developers confirmed that the game itself remains 100% safe and virus-free, despite the unauthorized access to their social channels.
Understanding the Security Incident
According to the studio, the breach occurred while a system engineer was investigating issues related to a malicious mod map. During this process, the engineer's personal computer was infected with malware. This infection allowed a third party to bypass the engineer's two-factor authentication (2FA) and gain administrative control over the Meccha Chameleon Discord server, leading to the removal of official staff members.
The studio emphasized that the infected machine was a spare testing device. They have verified via logs that it is physically impossible to access or edit the game’s source files from that specific computer. The affected machine has since been completely wiped and reformatted.
Player Safety Warning
The developers are urging players to exercise caution regarding any activity currently originating from their Discord server. They warned that the perpetrator will likely continue to post fake announcements and malicious links. Players are advised to avoid clicking any links or joining any unauthorized servers associated with the game until the studio regains full control.

Alongside the security update, the studio released patch 3.1.0 on July 25, 2026. This small update includes the following changes:
- Added the official collaboration map "Garten of Banban."
- Enabled non-UI operations for game controllers.
- Added a "Medium" setting for shadow quality.
