Krafton announced today that its four-player co-op horror title Mimesis has officially crossed the two-million-copy sales milestone. The game, developed by Krafton’s internal studio ReLU Games, reached this figure following a major content update released on June 15, 2026.

Quick Facts

  • Developer: ReLU Games (Krafton)
  • Platform: PC (Steam Early Access)
  • Sales Milestone: 2 million copies
  • Launch Date: October 27, 2025

Growth Driven by Content Updates

The game experienced a rapid trajectory following its initial launch, hitting one million copies sold within its first 50 days. Krafton attributes the most recent surge in sales to the June content update, which overhauled the title’s creature behavior, progression systems, and overall difficulty balance.

Visibility for the game has also been bolstered by high engagement on video platforms. According to Krafton, content centered on the game’s core "mistaken-identity" mechanics has generated 10.33 million watch hours and reached a peak concurrent viewership of 3.8 million.

Industry Recognition

Beyond commercial success, Mimesis is set to make history at the 2026 CEDEC Awards. The game will receive an Excellence Award in the Game Design category, marking the first time a Korean title has achieved this honor. It remains a finalist for the event's Grand Award, with the final ceremony scheduled for July 24, 2026.

The Future of the Mimesis IP

Min-jung Kim, CEO of ReLU Games, credited the community for the game's performance. "Reaching two million copies is thanks to the players who believed in the game and gave us such strong support," Kim said. "We’ll keep building on that momentum as Mimesis grows."

While the game remains in active development under the early access model, Krafton has confirmed intentions to expand Mimesis into a broader franchise. ReLU Games, which specializes in deep learning technology, continues to support the title alongside other projects like Uncover the Smoking Gun and Magical Mic Duel: Senpai, Hear My Spell.
