Developer House House has confirmed that there are currently no plans to release expansions or DLC for Big Walk. Following questions regarding the title's future, level designer and artist Jake Strasser noted that the team is prioritizing a rest after the development of the base game.
While no new official content is in development, the designers suggested that the game’s physics and interaction systems are intended to support player-created activities. Gillespie-Cook pointed to "hide and seek" as a successful example of how players might utilize the existing world to create their own challenges.
Technical and Design Limitations
In the same AMA, the team addressed common player inquiries regarding the game's mechanics:
- No Local Co-op: Programmer Nico Disseldorp stated that local co-op would not function with the game's current design, which relies on "restricted communication" where players hold different pieces of information.
- Community Modifications: For players seeking additional ways to experience the game, a community-made VR mod is currently available via developer CircuitLord.
For those looking to extend their experience without official updates, the developers encouraged experimentation with the game's physics, such as creating improvised games using the character models of disconnected players.
